Ledger Nano X Unboxing & Review | Is The Bluetooth Safe? Why Buy The Nano X?

safe and it's the ledger nano X actually

worth the money I will answer both of

these questions in this video and if you

hello guys and welcome to the moon my

name is Carl and Richard bring me this

ledger nano X unboxing and review and

let's just open up this package and the

first thing I can say is that they do

actually have free shipping to the whole

world and the legend out of X costs $119

and they do offer 14 days free returns

but this is essentially the Box the

ledger nano X so let's just open this

and see what this looks like so we'll

just take this away first of all and we

open this by sliding this package out

like this and first off I think that

this feels a little bit nicer than the

packaging for the legend and Oh s here

we have the legend nano X and yes the

presentation and the box is a lot nicer

than the alleged nano s and I think that

when you bring out the alleged nano X I

think you can feel right away that the

product is heavier and it's a little bit

bigger also actually and this is

essentially the product and we have the

backside varies in numerous strength in

numbers and here is the big screen and

of course the two buttons here that you

will navigate the device with so we have

the left button and the right button and

this is instead of the two buttons we

had on top on the legend on OS but this

is essentially supposed to be an

improved version of the alleged nano s

and the first major difference is of

course the fact that you can store

almost a hundred apps on this without

having to delete previous apps as with

the legend nano s where you can only

have about four or five apps and also

another big feature is of course the

Bluetooth feature and the fact that you

can use your mobile with an app the

ledger live app so you can actually send

and receive transactions with your phone

using the ledger nano X device and I

know that there are a lot of questions

about the Bluetooth feature I will talk

more about that later in this video

let's just get into the rest of the box

here see if we have any more contents

here so we are greeted with

welcome message that says hello and in

here we have three recovery sheets this

is actually where you're going to write

down your recovery phrase very important

indeed and we also have this getting

started the paper and then use care

regular tour statement and a few

stickers so these are the contents of

the box and also of course this USB

cable and this is much nicer than the

cable you get to the legend nos and the

reason why we want a hardware wallet is

of course to be able to store your

private keys safely offline without

having to worry about someone hacking

your Bitcoin because your private key

will be stored in here and even if you

plug this into the computer and even if

you actually use the Bluetooth feature

your private key will always be safely

stored in here offline your private key

will never be exposed to the outer world

so that's why in Hardware wallet is very

very important remember if you don't

hold your own private keys it's not your

Bitcoin so make sure that you actually

own a hardware wallet like the legend

nano X and very important also is to

never buy a ledger device from anywhere

else than the official website and I

have the link down below that is my

into the computer it's going to look

download ledger live at ledges comm and

yes you just follow these instructions

so press left or right basically we use

these two buttons here to navigate the

letter nano X just like we used the

other two up here for the legend an OS

it's the exact same kind of a navigation

function here and when you press both

buttons down that is actually to

validate a selection and when you set

this up as a new device we'll have to

come up with a pin code and now that

that's done you'll have to write down

your recovery phrase and remember that's

very important that's what you're gonna

do over here write down all your board

but this is not a tutorial this is more

of a review and my first impressions

from the legend nano X is that it is

very easy to navigate just as easy or

even more easier than the legend arrow s

and it feels a lot more heavy and

luxurious so the product overall seems

nicer and from trying the ledger live

app it seems very easy to navigate and

yeah overall this seems like a great

upgrade from the legend nano s so if you

hold many different alt coins then you

can have this as your altcoin ledger but

if you only have Bitcoin then maybe you

don't really need the legend and of X

you'll be perfectly fine with the legend

nano s in fact but if you do have a lot

of different Kryptos then having the

legend nano x is going to save you some

time when you don't have to reorganize

your apps all the time on the letter

nano s so let's take a look at the

ledger website and this is the official

website and like I said if you want to

make sure that you're visiting the

link down below and let's actually

scroll down and talk a little bit about

the security so state-of-the-art

security leave your fear of hacks behind

your private keys are stored in a

certified secure element and Bluetooth

connection is encrypted and here you can

see a small representation of the

alleged nano X device so the certified

secure chip the CCE al5 plus is right

there but let's talk a little bit about

the Bluetooth because I know that a lot

of people have questions regarding

Bluetooth and if that is a security risk

alright so first of all only public data

is transported by bluetooth critical

data such as private keys and seed never

leave the device and that is crucial

your private key is never exposed to the

outer world it never leaves the device

even if the Bluetooth connection would

be hacked the security of the legend now

no eggs relies on the secure elements

which will request your consent for any

action if ever you're not comfortable

using your nano X with a wireless

connection you can disable the Bluetooth

and use the USB type-c cable alright so

like I said in the beginning of the

video

the Bluetooth connection is always

assumed to be compromised which means

that ledger they have made sure that the

Bluetooth will never touch the important

private key in the device and just like

it says down here if you're still not

comfortable using the Bluetooth feature

you can actually turn that off and you

can actually essentially use your Legend

and X as a legend an OS with the USB

type-c cable all right so basically the

legend of X is very secure

I would probably assume it's to be more

secure than its competitors actually and

it's very easy to back up using your

recovery phrase over on this recovery

sheet that I showed you in the beginning

of the video very important to do that

and it has mobility so manage your

crypto anywhere you go Bluetooth enabled

with the ledger live mobile app so you

can use your mobile app and actually

manage your crypto on the go which is

actually very very nice

so ledger live mobile offers a new way

to easily manage all of your crypto

accounts and transactions through one

app everywhere you go and on the screen

right now you can actually see a small

representation of how the ledger live

app actually looks on your phone and the

app is actually very very nice-looking

and on the screen right now you can also

see that there is room for a lot of

different apps up to 100 apps installed

at the same time and that is a huge

improvement from the legend an OS and

all of these different features I think

make The Legend of X very very

competitive compared to its competitors

and I think that the low price of

$119.90 and you want to put them on your

legend aero-x

if you only have Bitcoin then maybe the

legend an OS can work fine for you but

then again if you wants to use the

mobile version and be able to actually

use your phone then of course the legend

of X is a big improvement from the

legend an OS if you are new to my
