How to Get Meta Muse: Download, Countries, Age and Every Way to Access It

Muse is free and you can sign in with Facebook, but availability is limited. Here is exactly where to get it, who can use it, and what to do if it says it is not available.

Updated October 9, 2026 · 3 min read

Muse hit the top of the App Store within days of launch, and millions of people have downloaded it. But plenty of others open the app and hit a wall: not available in their country, confusion about which app is the real one, or no app for their computer. This guide covers every way to get Muse and what to do when it does not work.

Last checked October 9, 2026. Availability is changing quickly. If something here is out of date, Meta's help center is the source of truth.

Who can use Muse right now

  • Age: adults 18 and over.
  • Countries: the United States. Meta's help pages also list Canada, though some reviewers describe it as US-only, so expect it to depend on your account.
  • Not yet: the UK, the EU and the rest of the world. Meta says more countries are coming but has not given dates.
  • Account: a Meta account. You can use your existing Facebook or Instagram login, or create one with email or phone.

Every way to access Muse

WhereHow to get itGood for
iPhoneSearch "Muse" in the App Store (look for Meta as the publisher and the squiggle logo)Day-to-day use, notifications, approvals
AndroidSearch "Muse" in Google Play (publisher: Meta)Same as iPhone, plus texting as you on Android
WebGo to muse.ai and sign inWindows PCs, Chromebooks, any computer
MacDownload the Mac app (launched September 17, 2026)Desktop work; can be given access to files and your computer
WhatsAppSettings > Messaging channels in Muse, then chat in WhatsAppQuick requests without opening another app

Watch out for fakes. "Muse" is a common app name. Check the publisher is Meta before installing anything, and never pay for a "Muse" app: the official one is free to download.

Windows users: there is no Windows app yet. Use muse.ai in Chrome or Edge; it syncs with your phone.

Setting up (the first 5 minutes)

  1. Sign in with your Meta account (Facebook login is the fastest).
  2. Allow notifications. Muse works in the background and needs a way to ask for approvals.
  3. Name your Muse, or accept one of the suggested names. You can change it later (tap the avatar, then the pencil).
  4. Connections: Muse will offer to connect Gmail and Google Calendar. It is fine to skip this and connect apps later, one at a time.

Then follow our beginner's guide for the settings to change before your first real task.

What it costs to get started

Nothing. Muse is free to download and comes with a weekly grant of free credits, which is currently generous. If you use them up, the upgrade is $100 a month. You will also see creators talking about "1 billion free tokens": that is reportedly a referral bonus, not the standard allowance, and it may not last. Full details in Is Meta Muse free?

"Muse isn't available" and other problems

It says Muse is not available in my region

There is no workaround we recommend. Some creators suggest a VPN, but that may break Meta's terms and risk your Meta account. Many of Muse's best features (bookings, payments, local recommendations) also depend on services in supported countries. Wait for the official rollout.

I'm in the US but can't get in

A few early users report needing several attempts to get access. Try:

  1. Update the app (or try muse.ai in a browser instead).
  2. Sign out and back in with the Meta account that has your correct date of birth.
  3. Try again later; new apps sometimes throttle sign-ups at busy times.

A button does nothing

Early users report that some in-chat buttons (like connecting Apple Health) did nothing, while the same action worked from Settings > Connectors. When in doubt, use Settings.

A task seems stuck

Tap the status pill at the top of the chat to see what is happening. If nothing is moving, ask "are you still there?" Reviewers found that this restarts a stalled task.

Coming soon

  • More countries (no dates yet)
  • AI glasses support
  • Muse Charm, a small keychain-style device with a screen that you tap to talk to Muse. One reviewer reports it ships in December; price not announced.

Frequently asked questions

Is Meta Muse available in my country?+

At launch, Muse is available in the US, and Meta's help pages also list Canada. It is not available in the UK or EU yet, and Meta has not given dates for other countries.

Can I use a VPN to get Meta Muse?+

Some creators suggest it, but we don't recommend it. It may break Meta's terms, can put your Meta account at risk, and Muse's features depend on local services like bookings and payments that may not work where you live.

Is there a Meta Muse app for Windows?+

Not yet. There are apps for iPhone, Android and Mac. On a Windows PC, use muse.ai in your browser.

Do I need a Facebook account to use Muse?+

You need a Meta account. Most people sign in with their existing Facebook or Instagram account, but you can also create a Meta account with an email address or phone number.

What are the 1 billion free Muse tokens?+

One creator reports a referral promotion that gives both people a one-time bonus of about 1 billion tokens. It is separate from the regular weekly free grant and may be temporary. Check the Muse app for current offers.
