AirPods Pro 3's Noise Canceling BEATS WH-1000XM6 and Gen 2 QC Ultra! 🔥
TRANSCRIPCIÓN COMPLETA
The AirPods Pro 3's noise cancelling is
so good that it's better than the best
noise cancelling headphones from Sony
and Bose.
What? I mean, if we look at these
measurements, what is clear is that the
AirPods Pro 3 could be a more powerful
noise canceller than the Sony WH-1000XM6
and Gen 2 Bose QC Ultra, especially in
the lower to lower mid frequencies. So,
it can deal with loud, droning, rumbling
noises more effectively than the
headphones. Where the headphones are
better is against the upper mids and
treble region. With the Sony's having a
clear advantage here. But shouldn't the
headphones be better all around since
they're bigger and cover the ears
entirely? How can something so small, so
tiny, so cute be more effective against
the low frequencies than full-sized
headphones? Well, the only reason I can
think of is that when you're using
headphones, even if the ear cups are
covering the ears entirely, there is
still empty space inside. That is a
pocket of air and air is a fantastic
conduit of sound, which creates its own
resonances within the confined space of
the ear cups and which in turn has to be
dealt with by the noise cancelling
algorithm of the headphones. Whereas
with earbuds like the AirPods Pro 3 that
plug into the ear canal, there is very
little space for there to be resonances.
And that simplifies the process of
cancelling low frequency noises with
very long wavelengths. What the AirPods
Pro 3 is less effective against is
higher frequency noises with very short
and unpredictable wavelengths. And that
can be blocked more effectively with
layers of material, which is why
headphones are more effective because
they've got layers of material like
cushions, the ear cups, and the
electronics in the ear cups. In the
following samples, if you're listening
with earbuds or headphones, you can hear
the rumbling of low frequency noises
more on the headphones, but not on the
AirPods Pro 3. But on the AirPods Pro 3,
you can hear higher frequency noises
more.
This comparison may seem stupid. Like,
why is Aaron comparing earbuds to
headphones? These are very different
products, right? But the reason is
because some people might be wondering
if it's worth getting the most powerful
noise cancelling headphones, which are
the Bose Gen 2 QC Ultra and the Sony
WH-1000XM6,
or should they go for the most powerful
noise cancelling earbuds, the AirPods
Pro 3, which are even more portable than
these headphones? I'm simply here to
tell you that it's not so simple. Yes,
there are reasons to get the headphones
like the battery life. Their battery
life is longer than any TWS earbuds on a
single charge. So, if you're on a long
flight, you don't have to keep
recharging the headphones. They just
work continuously throughout the flight
on a full charge. Whereas the AirPods
Pro 3, well, they last between 6 to 8
hours on a single charge. And if they
run out of battery, you've got to put
them back into the case to charge. And
this means in that period, you won't
have any noise cancellation or music.
Well, unless you use the ones provided
by the flight, those
plastic headphones and earbuds, which
are usually quite
The headphones cable connection also
means that you can plug them directly
into the in-flight entertainment system
without needing to use a wireless
adapter. Well, some airlines do support
Bluetooth on their in-flight
entertainment systems also, but it's
still not so common as far as I can see.
On the other hand, the AirPods Pro 3 is
super tiny, convenient, and portable. As
we saw, it will be more effective
against the droning noises of the
plane's engine, which is basically very
loud and very low frequency rumbling
noises. Keep watching because we're
going to talk about how they also
compare in terms of mic quality,
transparency, and sound quality. As

quality on Android, they're all pretty
comparable in quiet conditions. In noisy
conditions with noise gating, you're
generally going to get slightly better
results with the AirPods Pro 3 because
the Bose doesn't amplify my voice as
loudly and the Sony's noise gating is a
little too aggressive such that it cuts
into my own voice. If you are using an
Apple device, the AirPods Pro 3 will be
capturing at a wider 10 kilohertz band
instead of the usual HFP 8 kilohertz.
So, voice capture is clearer, more
natural in general. This was tested in
both quiet and
noisy conditions using really loud cafe
noise and
wind noise from this fan.

>> For transparency mode, the AirPods Pro 3
is a little better than the Bose QC
Ultra. There's a brighter, clearer, and
airier feeling. Whereas things are a
little darker on the Bose QC Ultra Gen
2. As for how they compare to the
Sony's, well, I've got to say that its
transparency is a little brighter
compared to the Sony WH-1000XM6.
But the Sony's transparency feels a
little more natural, maybe because it
isn't as bright as the AirPods Pro 3 in
the upper mids. Still, all of them have
fantastic transparency, great for
general awareness and verbal exchanges.
Some of the best transparency modes in
the market. For sound quality, you're
going to get a very different experience
from the AirPods Pro 3 versus the Sony
and Bose headphones. The most major
difference is that all of the action is
taking place in between the ears. So,
the sound staging feels more compact and
the bass is more impactful. Either the
Sony or Bose headphones will do better
for a wider, more enveloping sound stage
because the listening process is
different and now also involves the
outer ears, the pinna, and that creates
better spaciousness and height in the
sound stage. As for the sound quality
itself, the Sony sounds more visceral
and intimate. Whereas the Bose has a
more relaxed, laid-back signature
compared to the Sony's. Well, it's still
