What's up, guys? Welcome back. Today, I

0:02

have another video for you guys, and

0:04

we're going to be going over candle

0:07

profiling. Now, this is something that's

0:09

really simple, right, but extremely

0:12

important. And this acts as a filter for

0:16

price action, right? So, a lot of you

0:17

guys have been asking me, how do you

0:19

avoid um low probable days? This is just

0:22

one of the filters. Um this is really

0:25

the first thing I look at when I come to

0:27

the charts is the candle profile. Now

0:30

what we must understand is that candle

0:32

profiles

0:34

um really is like two has two key

0:36

components and they both need to be

0:38

aligned. So the first component is wick

0:41

size. So wick size tells us how far the

0:44

candle is likely to expand because if

0:46

you go back into the market and look at

0:49

any

0:50

any candle expansion candle you're going

0:53

to see they all have the same thing in

0:55

common and that is a small wick a small

0:58

opposing run from the opening price

1:00

right this allows the candle to have

1:03

that large body right small wick large

1:05

body less time in the manipulation phase

1:08

of the candle or the protraction phase

1:10

forming the wick more time for it to

1:12

expand. Right? So, this is the first

1:14

filter in price. We're looking at wick

1:16

size, right? This tells us how far it is

1:19

going to expand, right? What if we have

1:22

a large opposing run from the open?

1:24

Well, this is something we typically

1:26

want to avoid because it's not going to

1:29

reverse and expand in the same candle.

1:31

It's just going to reverse, right? It's

1:32

not going to expand past this opening

1:35

price that we see here, right? Because

1:37

the wick size doesn't allow it. So large

1:40

wick, small body. Typically this is

1:43

where we, you know, have the reversal in

1:46

the form of a candle two closure and we

1:48

look to trade a candle three expansion

1:50

rate. So we would look for this to be a

1:53

candle three and this would be like

1:55

candle two for example. Right now I do

1:57

trade this and I will show you guys how

1:59

to trade it. But it is specifically on

2:02

the higher time frame. Right? So this

2:03

will be a kind of like a daily profile

2:05

you could say. Um, daily profiles and

2:08

candle profiles are like two different

2:10

things in my opinion though. Daily

2:13

profiles not so much not too important

2:15

to me. This is what's actually important

2:17

uh in my opinion because for example I

2:21

can't have a London reversal if it looks

2:25

like this. For example, if I want a

2:27

London reversal, I wanted to have a

2:30

small wick, right? So I can expect a New

2:31

York continuation because that's what a

2:33

London reversal is. It's a London

2:35

reversal New York continuation. You

2:36

can't really expect a New York

2:37

continuation if uh the wick size looks

2:41

like this for example. So all daily

2:44

profile tells you is when the low of

2:46

days formed like what time. If it's a

2:48

Asia you know high of day then you can

2:50

expect the previous sessions or the next

2:52

sessions to expand. If it's a if none of

2:55

the previous sessions reversed then it

2:57

has to be a New York reversal. That's

2:58

all that tells you. Nothing spectacular.

3:01

This tells you like I said how far the

3:04

candle will expand but also how it will

3:06

close. And this is where this comes in

3:09

like how do we know how the candle is

3:11

going to form or close. This is where um

3:14

this comes in which is this is the

3:15

actual candle profile itself or the

3:18

protraction phase like how is that

3:20

candle forming. This is what's actually

3:22

really important. So typically for a

3:25

bullish expansion candle we want it to

3:28

open low first. All right. When it opens

3:30

up first, this is um what allows it to

3:33

use as a little time in the expansion

3:35

phase, right? Um to form the wick to

3:40

expand, right? Or sorry, little time in

3:41

the manipulation phase. So, it can have

3:44

as much time to expand, right? It's like

3:46

a fluid motion. Open, low, high, close.

3:49

We all we've all heard this a million

3:50

times, right? But we really want the

3:53

these candles to form this way. In the

3:55

best expansion days, it forms exactly

3:56

like this. And there's a reason why we

4:00

want it to open low as well. And this is

4:02

something we're going to go over in

4:03

another video. So, I don't know if I

4:06

already mentioned this,

4:09

but this is this video itself is just

4:12

going to be over the candle profile

4:15

concept alone. Uh, and then it's going

4:17

to be a video series. I'm probably going

4:19

to do going to cover multiple concepts

4:21

and then we're going to put it all

4:22

together, right? Because we don't just

4:24

use candle profiles alone. Um although

4:27

it's a very good filter for price when

4:29

we apply it to other concepts and

4:31

intertwine them and stuff like that but

4:33

it gets very good right um but anyways

4:37

this is a pos positive condition is when

4:39

it opens low firsts right applied on all

4:41

time frames by the way but I'm really

4:43

specifically talking about the daily

4:44

candle or high frame candle now a

4:47

negative condition is when the candle if

4:49

you're going to be bullish if it opens

4:51

high first we don't want to see this we

4:53

don't want to see this right especially

4:54

if it opens high into something relevant

4:56

and like manipulates it. That's a really

4:58

negative condition, right? This is where

5:00

it will typically, you know, maybe this

5:02

is the low of a reversal, right? But

5:04

it's not going to expand. It's not going

5:06

to give that expansion because of the

5:08

way it forms, right? It opens high

5:09

first. Using a lot of the time to

5:12

manipulate or sorry, um yeah, basically

5:15

to manipulate, right? Because it opened

5:16

high and then has to open low. Look how

5:19

much time that is, right? It's like half

5:20

of the candle in the manipulation phase.

5:22

Doesn't have enough time. It simply does

5:23

not have enough time. um in range to

5:27

expand in the same candle. Right? So

5:29

this is a negative condition. We do not

5:31

want to see this even if it has a small

5:33

wick. Right? See the small wick? It's

5:35

not going to expand because of the

5:36

candle profile, the way it is forming.

5:39

Right? This is arguably more important

5:42

than the wick size. It actually isn't

5:44

more important. It's the way the candle

5:45

forms in my opinion. Now we're going

5:48

going to be talking about what I don't

5:50

consider as an open high or an open low.

5:52

And this is when we just consolidates,

5:54

right? If we just consolidate, it's it's

5:57

not an open high or an open low. What I

6:00

deem as the first open high or open low

6:02

is the first side that gets manipulated.

6:05

So if we manipulate the low first, I'm

6:08

viewing this as an open low. Right? If

6:10

we manipulate the high first, I'm

6:12

viewing it as an open high. Right? So a

6:14

lot of people will think that just

6:16

because the candle opened high first,

6:18

this is automatically bearish day. No,

6:20

no, no. If it it can do this, it can

6:22

range. It can even open high first and

6:24

then open low and then expand. As long

6:27

as this little open high or whatever

6:29

doesn't trade into anything relevant, it

6:31

doesn't matter, right? That's fine. As

6:33

long as, you know, if it opens high

6:34

first a little bit and then we open low.

6:37

As long as this open high was formed

6:39

super early on the candle, it generally

6:40

doesn't matter, right? Um, so I just

6:42

wanted to throw this in there because I

6:44

know some people get confused with that.

6:46

Um, the candle is not just going to open

6:48

low directly. Like sometimes it does

6:50

that and that's great, but sometimes

6:51

it's going to open high a little bit.

6:53

That's fine.

6:54

Right now, we're going to be talking

6:56

about a candle um to reversal into

6:58

expansion candle. So, what we just

7:00

talked about was just an expansion

7:02

candle. Like these previous candles are

7:04

just expansion candles. This is a

7:06

reversal candle, but it's a very uh it's

7:10

very distinctive where it has a small

7:12

wick which allows it to also expand,

7:14

right? So, just like an expansion

7:15

candle, we want to open low first. uh

7:18

and if it has this small wick then it

7:20

can reverse but also expand. Okay, so

7:23

it's still an expansion candle um at the

7:26

same time. It's also a reversal candle.

7:27

It's like the same. It's like two in
