Keir Starmer Labour smuggled in wanted Eritrean gang rapists, given UK asylum (28Mar26)
VOLLSTÄNDIGE ABSCHRIFT
Now, I'd like to try and keep this
Saturday afternoon show a bit sometimes
a bit light-hearted, bit of a wink and a
nudge here and there, but this story is
one of those horror shows you just
cannot ignore. And once again, women and
girls are the victims of it. It concerns
two Eritraan men um accused of a gang
rape at horrific details in Denmark. Um
and they were able to enter the UK by
small boats and were granted asylum. And
this is despite despite the Danes who
wanted these two men putting out an
international alert for their arrest.
These two men were in this country put
up in hotels paid for by you given
spending money paid for by you. Two men
wanted for a horrific gang rape. The
case has sparked major questions over
border checks and how serious criminal
suspects are able to remain in the
country for months at our expense
before. Thankfully, these two scumbags
have been now sent back to Denmark. Uh,
joining me now is the wonderful who
columnist at the Daily Mail, Sue Reed,
who has done so much investigating into
this subject. Sue, I mean, you and I, we
talk about this almost on a weekly
basis. Now, unfortunately, this story is
a real horror show, though.
>> Uh, yeah, and it's all about security.
These guys were running from the Danish
police. Um, and where did they think of
coming? of course to a boat in Calala.
Um and when they get here, and this was
an expose that we did just three weeks
ago,
>> um they arrive at the port, they're
taken off, they have a a a security sort
of hand thing put over them, uh but
little else. They're given a change of
clothes if they wish, and then they're
on British soil. So there's no name
checking at that stage or any other
background before they're on British
soil. So we are talking about a security
lapse of enormous proportions.
And of course this is only the last of
of many. I mean I think we have a list
don't we of 75.
>> We do actually. Yeah. I'm just going to
if the camera comes back on to me here.
This is a list our um Sue compiled two
years ago now I think. Sue. Um and there
is more obviously going. This is four
pages of names of men that have come
over here, mostly on those small boats,
who have gone on to
>> rape,
>> rape and and and and sexually assault
women and girls in the UK.
>> Yeah. And some of them are
>> this list is horrific, by the way.
>> Some of them are Eratrian.
>> Yes.
>> Who aren't, by the way, the the the the
top on that list. Um
>> Afghan Afghanistanis, wasn't it? But I
mean, these two are and let's go back to
the start of this story. I mean, it is
absolutely horrific. The case began in
Denmark's um second largest city, Aras,
in August 2024 when a local woman met
one of these lads in a bar, ended up
imprisoned in a flat where she was gang
raped by three men over 6 hours, which
they filmed. These two men went on the
run, got on a boat, one of them was
arrested straight away, thankfully. gone
on a boat and came here and they've been
roaming the streets of the UK
funded by the taxpayers doing whatever
the hell they were doing. Uh they were
in a migrant hotel. We don't know where.
We haven't even told that. Uh but
obviously in the migrant hotels you are
free to to come and go as you please. I
mean they're not prisons. Um, and I know
for a fact that they have gone through
the most um, minimal uh, checks at the
processing center in Kent before they're
sent to a hotel. [snorts] I mean, I have
whistleblowers in border force who have
told me it is shocking what is happening
there. I mean, like very very little at
all. And migrants themselves have told
me only just before Christmas uh that
they they were only interviewed for
three quarters of an hour. So you have
they're through to the process 3/4 of an
hour. I mean it's uh and then they're in
a hotel
>> and and we have spoken to people who
work in in the home office in the civil
service who are literally rubber
stamping after a very brief interview
these people through knowing full well
that they are going to go on that many
of them are criminals many of them are
you know guilty of sexual assault are
going to go on to commit crime in this
country and they they think we we under
so much pressure we just have to wave
them in
>> that's exactly what's happening and uh I
do tell you that there are people within
border force uh who are very worried
about it themselves. A lot of the people
who border force are hiring now are
youngsters, 18 year olds who are being
paid very good money uh but don't have a
knowledge of the dangers or the history
>> or the whole picture. And so they
actually are being put in some level of
danger themselves to be honest because
>> though in the processing center I'm told
they do behave themselves the migrants
because they are being promised a hotel
>> of course
>> and therefore that controls them.
>> Yeah. So they moni they moderate their
behavior
>> at the processing center, but it's what
happens when they get to the hotel and
realize they're as free as
>> birds. Sue, just just quickly and
finally, this this list here of migrant
rapists and criminals let into this
waved into this country. It's it's a
horror. It's a horrific list. So many
women and girls have been the victims of
this. Just quickly, how does it make you
feel doing this, covering this story day
in day out? And it's getting worse.
>> Yeah, it is getting worse. Uh you can
see it every day in the uh main street
press and far more on social media, by
the way. But it all began in with a case
that was really the most horrific of the
lot, which is why I did the mic the rape
map um with a case of a 13-year-old
called Leani Leone in Vienna who was
murdered by an Afghan who then came on
the boat here to escape the police went
to the White Chapel Ibis where he was
billeted a migrant hotel
>> and it was only when the Austrian police
said we are certain he will have crossed
to Britain
>> that our police were aware that they
were housing a murderer
>> of a 13year-old child. Uh Sue Reed, it's
it's always it's always a pleasure to
talk to you even though the story is
always very grim, but keep up your
sterling work there. Thank you much, Sue
Reed. The two men in this case now are
back in Denmark and are going on trial.
They are from Eratria where just a
little side note on this, 65% of
Eratrian women say they have been the
victims of rape in their own country.
Just leaving that one there. Okay. Um, a
home office spokesperson has said, uh,
vile criminals have no place in the UK.
Both individuals have been extradited
back to Denmark to face justice.
