How this Girl's Astrology App Makes $60K Per Month From TikTok

Hey guys, in this case today I'm going
to break down exactly how this one girl
launched and scaled her astrology app
starcross to over $60,000 per month in
less than a year. I will break down the
onboarding and monetization system that
turns their frontend $10 subscription
into over $240 payments. I will expose
their whole marketing funnel and how
they're acquiring users from Tik Tok and
Instagram for absolutely free. And then
I'll break down the strategy they can
implement to scale their app to over
$200,000 in MR the same way Calai and
Bible Chat AI did. And of course, how
you can copy all of this and implement
it into your own business. Now, if
you've never heard of me, uh my name is

businesses and now I'm helping founders

and marketing strategies. And I'm

few small highlights of my life so you
kind of maybe get to know me better,
right? I love traveling, I love uh
sports, I love the gym, so on so forth.
Kind of typical stuff. Anyways, that's
enough yapping. Let's break down
Starcross and their growth strategy.
Right. So, I want to get started with
just meeting the founders. It was
created by two co-founders. Uh Neta as
the CMO and Grayson as the CTO. Neta
acts as like the face and marketer and
primary growth driver. Uh and then
Grayson manages the direction of the
company. And the whole app is just built
by Sultan, a part-time developer they
hired off of Pakistan. And with this
very small and lean team, these guys are
pulling in over $60,000 per month uh
with the Starross app. Yeah. And this is
basically all profit simply because all
their growth is organic. They don't
really spend anything on paid media.
Now, a few small things to note is that
the app was launched at like the end of
2024. But Neta actually started posting
on Instagram and validating her content
since about the end of 2023. As you can
see here, she started just getting kind
of couple of views here until eventually
a couple her videos really blew up and
she kind of found her fit winning
formula and ended up getting consistent
virality. Uh, and obviously I can verify
this, but in if I had to guess, most
likely Grayson just found Neta
organically on Tik Tok, reached out to
her for a partnership, and then they
just ported her up and built the
Starcross app. Their initial MVP was
very basic and was literally just like a
link tree style shopping page where they
sold the same things. They eventually
ended up moving over to the app like
your personal readings every month,
soulmate readings, uh, ultimate soul
readings, a bunch of different like
astrology deck themed products basically
that they were selling. And eventually
after they validated this on the MVP,
they moved it and built a whole app
around the same concept. And that's
basically kind of how the app came to
be. Now, after this, I'm going to break
down the marketing, but first I want to
talk about uh the actual app and how how
are they monetizing the app fully and
what is does the onboarding experience
look like on the app. And so, this right
here is the uh Starross app onboarding.
Uh it's a pretty short onboarding page.
As you can see here, it starts off with
a basic login screen, uh phone number
verification, then your name, then your
birthday, your birth time because that's
needed for astrology.
Then the time you're born in, uh then
create password loading screen. uh then
one personalization screen which is like
what what are you tracked to uh
notification enabled and and then
transitions into the payment wall and
this is a fine onboarding page but if
you compare that to the a couple other
apps that I made case study videos on
like Cali and Bible chat you will see
how much more uh you know onboarding
steps they have compared to uh Starross
right these guys have over 20 page in
their onboarding and so as you can see
if I zoom out like they have a lot of
very like they have graphs they have
personal questions they have quiz
questions they have a couple like small
animations, uh, connectivity stuff, they
have reviews. Same with this one, they
have a couple like previews of what the
app was, describing it, explaining it,
so on so forth, right? Just extra steps
to get the users more invested in the
onboarding, which will help in the
conversion rate once it hit with the
payment wall. And especially in my
opinion, uh there's far too few
personalization questions, especially
for an app and niche like astrology,
right? Uh astrology is all about, you
know, feeling special. Uh, and so you
really should focus on expanding this
step right here, which is like
personalizing the app basically for
them, which after I analyzed all their
videos, I'd say the primary growth
driver for the app is like romantic and
soulmate readings. So, I would
definitely focus in on those specific
questions, right? Uh, what is your kind
of relationship status? What kind of
connections are you manifesting right
now? Uh, do you believe in fate? What
was the first thing you look for in a
partner? Have you ever dated someone
with a bad sign before? Which signs are
the most attracted to? uh which zodiac
size have broken your heart so on and so
forth. Right? These are all things that
will kind of really make the user think
deeply and get them emotionally invested
in the signup process. Right? After
that, maybe add a couple self-discovery
and archetype type questions. What's
your biggest personality flex? Uh what
do you struggle with the most in
relationship? Do you lead with your
heart or with your head? Which of these
to describe the best? Right? Mysterious
one, hopeless, romantic, a wild card,
therapist, friend, overachiever, so on
so forth. Uh when you fall, you fall
instantly, slowly, deeply, cautiously.
uh so on so forth, right? I hope you're
kind of picking up what I'm pointing
down here. Obviously, this type of
things, you can go infinitely here. If
you need more examples, I'll just kind
of ask Shaji Biti to come up with a
bunch of examples here. And so, if you
add these sort of like personality
questions, especially for a niche uh
like astrology where like, you know, the
emotions are really heightened, this
will make them really invested and
really actually want to know the answers
to all these questions, right? Because
it's going to feel super personal to
them. Then, after they go through the
onboarding, they're obviously hit down
with the payw wall. And so they're hit
with a soft payw wall. That means you
are able to exit out of it. Uh because
the function of the app is slightly
different than like Cali which has a
hard payw wall. Part of the app
functions is that they share the app
with their friends. And that's kind of
why it's premium. And so let's break
down their kind of payw wall and what it
looks like is they start with a headline
and a sub headline. After that they see
the pricing uh which is about you know
$45.99 for one year and uh $11.99 for
weekly. uh you know if they choose
weekly then yearly they would have to
