How to install Vestaboard

hey everyone

i'm gabe just like you i'm thrilled my

vesta board has

finally arrived i can't wait to get it

installed

in this video i'll be walking us through

every step of the installation process

don't worry it's my first time too so

we're in this together

before we get started here are a few

things to remember

vestaboard cannot be placed upright on a

table or

on a service without an appropriately

rated visa compatible display system

or it will fall over

for wall installations vestaboards

should only be mounted to wood studs or

concrete

board weighs 45 pounds or 20 kilograms

without its frame so it's best to have a

friend help you

if you don't feel comfortable handling

installation on your own vestaboard has

a nationwide network of trained

technicians

available to help with a professional

vestaboard's custom packaging keeps the

product safe during transit

so i'll be saving all the original

packaging in case i need to transport my

vesta board

in the future so let's get to it

inside the inner box you'll see a

pre-cut installation template

that helps in visualizing and marking

exactly where you want vestiboard on the

wall

vestaboard has a few installation styles

to choose from

i like to have my power cords concealed

so i went with the recessed outlet

because i think that looks sharp

if your preferred outlet sits further

below you can order a longer cord by

scanning the qr code right on your

installation template or

heading straight to vestaboard.com

vestabor's thought of everything on the

back of the installation template

there's peel-away adhesive to help me

place it on the wall

so now that i've decided on a location

i'll use a level to be sure the

installation template is straight as i

mark the holes

within the wall mount box you'll find

printed instructions that walk you

through the different hardware and tools

needed

i'll be using the provided wall plate

but vestaboard can be mounted on

any 400x400 visa compatible system

the vertical rails attached to the back

of vestaboard are removable

if you decide to mount on a stand for

example

now that i've got the wall plate

securely installed i can unpack the rest

we won't need the mask frame just yet so

let's carefully set it aside for now

now if you're going with the recessed

outlet installation go ahead and have

the power cord plugged into the outlet

ahead of time that way you can easily

plug into the power jack at the base of

your vesta board

if you aren't using a recessed outlet

you can set your power cord aside for

the moment

that board weighs 45 pounds or 20

kilograms without the mask frame

so it's recommended a friend help you

lift and hold while making sure the back

plane is securely hooked onto the wall

plate

before letting go once both of the rails

are hooked into place and i'm confident

and secure

we'll use the level again to make sure

the placement looks

perfect before putting the frame on

let's remove the thin padding strip

between each row of bits these were here

to protect the bits from jostling during

shipment

you'll want to save them with the rest

of your packaging in case you need to

transport your vestaboard in the future

this is also a good time to make sure

all the bits are securely in place

before

powering on for the first time now we're

ready for the mask frame that we set

aside earlier

gently place over the top of the back

plate to allow the frame to hang in

place

then plug in the power cord by gently

lifting from the bottom

you'll notice when you plug in your

vesta board for the first time

it powers on and automatically boots up

with a rainbow sequin

once that sequence wraps up a unique six

character code will be displayed for you

you'll need this code to pair with

vestaboard's mobile app

now for the fun part downloading the app

and pairing my vesta board

using your phone head over to

vestabor.com

app to find the official download links

for ios or android

we recommend logging in with the same

username created to pay your final

balance if you've not created an account

yet go ahead and sign up via the app now

now that i'm signed in i'll enter the

pairing code and select the network we

want vestaboard to connect with

i'm going to connect with wi-fi but if

ethernet is more your speed

there is a port opposite of the power

jack for an ethernet cable

with wi-fi vestaboard will connect to

the network i've chosen

after a hotspot passes my wifi password

to my vesta board

for security reasons vestaboard

recommends only connecting to a closed

wi-fi network that requires a password

i'm connecting now so we're almost done

but before i can send my first message

i need to name my vesta board i'll name

mine kitchen

since that's where i installed mine but

personalize yours however you'd like

especially if you have more than one

vesta board now for the moment we've all

been waiting for
