What's up, guys? Welcome back. Got a

0:03

good video for you guys today. We're

0:04

going to be talking about invalidations,

0:08

specifically continuation. So, I'm going

0:11

to be showing you guys how to go from a

0:12

higher time frame candle close all the

0:14

way down to, you know, um really

0:17

refining your invalidation point. And

0:21

yeah, so this is going to be part one of

0:23

invalidations. It's going to be

0:25

continuation. Like I said, the next part

0:27

will be about reversal. So without

0:31

further ado, let's run through these

0:32

slides. Got a lot of examples to show

0:34

you guys. So yeah, let's run through

0:36

these slides real quick. So the first

0:39

thing we look for

0:41

is a higher time frame candle close. So

0:45

within continuation,

0:47

you have to have you have to work off

0:48

the previous candle's range. The first

0:50

step is to mark out EQ of that previous

0:53

candle's range. So, if it's a candle 2

0:56

close with a large wick, you want to see

0:59

candle 3's um low being in support of

1:02

the upper half. And when you're trading

1:06

um when the previous candle is basically

1:07

an expansion candle, you want to see

1:10

that next candle form its low in the

1:12

upper half of that expansion candle's

1:14

range. Now, why is that? Why are we

1:16

marking out EQ of these ranges? Well,

1:19

this just forces a small wick on that

1:22

higher sent from candle because we want

1:24

to be trading expansion candles away

1:26

from reversal or just at all times.

1:29

Ideally, we want to trade expansion.

1:30

That's the face of price we want to

1:32

trade. And one thing about expansion

1:34

candles is they have small wicks, right?

1:38

These small wicks. So, this is a

1:39

mechanical way to kind of force a small

1:43

wick. So, shout out teach for this

1:45

concept. Yeah, go check his video out on

1:48

this and you will learn more. So, this

1:50

is the first step of doing so. You mark

1:53

out EQ of that range, but this is a very

1:56

large area, right? So, what we're going

1:57

to do is we are going to refine this

2:00

level down. Um, we're going to drop down

2:02

a couple time frames here. So, right

2:06

here, this is fractal, but we're

2:08

starting from the daily time frame. So,

2:10

pretend this is the daily chart, right?

2:12

Then we're going to drop down to the 1

2:13

hour and 4our chart. So, if I'm going to

2:15

trade the protraction phase of the daily

2:17

candle, meaning the open low, if I'm

2:20

going to catch that wick, if I'm going

2:22

to trade the wick of the daily candle

2:23

under the open opening price, I'm going

2:26

to look back within the previous candles

2:28

range for a key level to form that that

2:31

that uh key level from right or sorry,

2:35

that low of the day from. Um, and these

2:37

are the key levels that I look for. I

2:39

look for a fair value gap within the

2:41

previous candles range. It's going to be

2:43

located in the upper half or an order

2:45

block or a or some swing lows, right?

2:49

Either relevant low that we can

2:51

manipulate or maybe failure swings we

2:53

can manipulate which would create a

2:55

protected swing that would create the

2:57

low of the day, right? Or the wick of

2:59

the candle that we can trade away from.

3:01

So this is what it would look like if

3:04

price opens low into those levels,

3:06

right? This is price trading low into a

3:09

fair value gap, expanding away. This is

3:11

price trading low into an opposing

3:12

candle, more like an a bulky opposing

3:14

candle and then trading away. And these

3:16

are, you know, price opening low into

3:19

failure swings, creating a protected

3:21

swing and expanding away. So, we want

3:23

these levels to hold, right? Because if

3:24

these levels to hold, then what would

3:27

happen, right? Likely this will not be

3:29

an expansion day. So, we want to to keep

3:32

it simple. You looking for key levels

3:34

around the opening price of that candle

3:36

because if we disrespect that, what are

3:38

we doing? creating a large wick which

3:40

doesn't support expansion. It's simple

3:42

as that really. Um so moving on now

3:46

we're going to refine it even more.

3:47

Right? So we already did that. We

3:49

already went from this um this 0.5 level

3:54

down to the 1 hour 4our chart. Right?

3:56

But now as soon as we hit that level

3:58

that key level we expecting reversal. So

4:01

how do we confirm reversals with swing

4:02

points? Shout out teach trades again.

4:05

Market can't reverse without swing point

4:06

right. So when we put in a swing point

4:09

here, we want to see price do what?

4:11

Expand away from the key level because

4:13

that's what price should do from key

4:15

levels. We don't want to see price

4:16

hangar around. We want to see price put

4:17

in that reversal, expand away. Okay. So

4:21

how do we confirm key levels again is a

4:24

swing point and we must see it expand

4:26

away. But what happens if price doesn't

4:29

expand away? Well, this is viewed as a

4:33

consolidation. So the way I treat um

4:36

invalidations is I will give it two

4:39

chances to reverse. The first one like I

4:41

said is the swing point from the key

4:43

level. What if it doesn't reverse from

4:46

that swing point? This is when I mark

4:48

out the low of that swing point. So the

4:51

low like candle two here and I will

4:53

demand this to be manipulated. Okay. So

4:56

I'm doing this as consolidation. So

4:58

basic expansion, consolidation and a gap

5:01

and I need price to manipulate this low.

5:04

Right? So we start the process over

5:05

again. As soon as we hit this low, I

5:08

demand a swing point and I demand price

5:10

to expand away from it because that's

5:11

what should happen after manipulation,

5:14

right? What happens if we don't do this?

5:17

Well, then that would be your

5:19

invalidation, right? And this goes back

5:21

to protected swings, right? What we're

5:23

doing here is mechanically defining

5:26

relevant swings really and the creation

5:29

of a protected swing and over here right

5:33

what what would be be doing that would

5:35

wouldn't be a very strong key level

5:36

right um if you know we hit a fair value

5:40

gap and we're just creating lower lows

5:41

in a fair value gap so typically this is

5:43

when whatever reversal you're trying to

5:45

trade away from is not likely um valid

5:48

right it's not likely a strong reversal

5:50

or whatnot right um so this would clear

5:53

invalidation of that idea.

5:56

Now, like I said, this goes handinhand

5:58

with mapping or using relevant swings,

6:01

protected swings. So, we're going to go

6:02

over a little refresher on that and how

6:04

to incorporate this. So, the how to map

6:08

out relevant swings. They're just simply

6:11

spaced out highs and lows. And this is

6:13

where we um will get a good idea of

6:17

price continuing through a level or

6:19

reversing. Okay, these are levels we

6:22

want to see phases of price at um

6:24

especially these levels. So, how do we

6:27

mark out a failure swing? They're just

6:29

close proximity lows, right? So, you see

6:32

the space between these lows, right?

6:34

That means that this low is a relevant

6:35

swing. But this low cannot be a relevant

6:38

swing because it's in close proximity to

6:40

this low. Does that make sense? And uh

6:42

the space between these lows, right, are

6:44

quite significant. So, that makes this a

6:46

relevant swing because it's not a

6:47

failure swing to any of these lows,

6:49

right? This low is a fair swing to this

6:50

low. So moving on, we want to see price

6:54

manipulates relevant swings to trade

6:56

away from to get towards our draw

6:57

liquidity, right? Or maybe to trade away

6:59

from to trade into the opposing side of

7:02

a range. Okay? So when we trade into a

7:05

relevant swing, like I said, this is

7:06

where we want to see that swing point be

7:09

created, an expansion away. Now, we do

7:12

not want to trade away from failure

7:13

swings. So, even if we get that swing

7:16

point, even if we have an SMT right

7:18

here, I don't care, right? I'm not going

7:19

to trade away from this because this

7:22

little manipulation of this failure

7:23

swing is still creating a failure swing.

7:25

It's still a failure swing, right? Even

7:27

though it manipulated a fair swing, the

7:29

manipulation itself, whoops, is still a

7:33

failure swing to this relevant swing.

7:35

Right? This is the relevant level,

7:36

right? So, we want this relevant swing

7:39

to be manipulated, right? Because this

7:40

is not the relevant level, it's this

7:41

one. So when price manipulates all these

7:44

lows in close proximity to actually
