V-COPTER Falcon RANGE TEST - How Far Will it Go? (V-Coptr 2 Armed Drone)

hey guys thanks for tuning in check it

out remember this thing uh the v-copter

falcon by zero zero robotics

we're gonna do a range test today where

i normally do my range tests out here in

kula we're just gonna basically take

this thing off and go straight out that

way towards molokini it kind of hugs the

side of the mountain so we're not going

to be going too high and i'm just going

to be standing here having my controller

with my antennas down like this as

perpendicular

to the v-copter as possible and just see

how far we can get remember this thing

has a limit a limit of 7 000 um meters

on the range so we're gonna see what

happens when it maxes out if it can even

max out at that range anyway let's boot

it up and get started and see how far

the v-copter can go and how good the

quality of the fpv signal is at that

range

anyway we have this thing booted up guys

let's get going a new version of

firmware of course the day i want to fly

it but we are going to bypass that for

now i don't know what that is i just

flew it the other day and actually

yesterday and there wasn't one so

there's a new one so at least they're

working on trying to get this thing

you know updated with some of the

shortcomings that um i've shared on my

channel and also

straight directly to zero zero i told

them about a certain thing a couple of

things i got my screen recording let's

go just hitting let's go here

we're going to be in manual control mode

and i want to take off as soon as

possible we got 99 but i do just want to

check my settings real quick right here

i have all obstacle avoidance off just

so it doesn't use as much power but i do

want to guys

record my video and i'm going to do that

in 4k 30 okay

just so pressing record now

just so there's something to look at and

it's more of a real case use if you want

to get out there far and while you're

filming so let's go ahead and take off

we have up there on the top right 16

satellites that's plenty

pressing the takeoff button on the left

there is some breeze here guys about

five mile per hour coming from that

direction

that's going to be i guess that's uh

southwest

so let's take off

watch how this thing just fires up

it's pretty cool let's let it lift off

right from the bench here

and immediately you can see how it's a

little windy

let's just fly straight out let that

thing

go up and out

and i'm just gonna go as straight as

possible okay

just straight as possible so there you

go i have the fpv up for you what's

recording on my screen guys so you can

see that

and

trying not to of course go over as many

buildings as possible so i'll be sort of

avoiding them

as i go out a little bit

and you know what we're going kind of

slow we're only at eight meters per

second i want to immediately switch into

sport mode

which if you look on my hat cam video

i'll have on my controller

uh switching up with s right there i'm

still holding the stick uh forward

and i'm gonna press switch let's see if

it can handle that

while i'm holding the stick no it looks

like you gotta let off the stick

and then press forward again unless it's

really trying to fight that wind which

might be the problem

wow so i'm going to pick it up here i'm

i want to get up to

you know close to

at least a couple hundred feet out

altitude so

of course just trying to avoid flying

directly over any houses here

so let's go right in between these two

that should be good and let's pick that

up again

so this is the direction i'm headed you

can see molokini way the heck out there

in the center of the screen

um i'm going to turn to the right just a

tad

right into those clouds you can see the

sun up there and everything

but i'll be moving the gimbal around

you know whoops we're a little too high

let me come down here you can always

come down if you get too high

someone immediately i'm just pulling

down on the left thumb stick

i was kind of up

a little bit too high so i'm just

holding the thumbstick down

i'm trying to get to under 120 meters

and that that went up there quick didn't

it

so sport mode's flying at 10 meters per

second and that is we'll keep it at

around 115 meters high

10 meters per second is about 22 miles

per hour um if you guys missed

my full-on flight test in the park here

testing out all the functions you can go

ahead and check that

and it will show you um

how fast this thing can fly in sport and

in

um

low mode so there's a l

over here on the controller an l and an

s right

low in sport is pretty much all you get

anyway i just kind of had the controller

turned but it looks like the video is

still pretty good

again i just have these antennas just

perpendicular to the craft as much as

possible

moving the gimbal up and down

it still seems pretty good there's a

slight lag

i'll turn off this hat cam save some

power here

still got my finger pegged and we're

going 10 meters per second

um what's our power 91 percent so it is

fighting some of that wind right

but during the whole flight i'm gonna be

moving my

gimbal up and down

you guys will be able to see let me just

make sure this is recording guys

yep

using the az screen recorder to record

my android this is the android phone

i think it's android 10 or 11 os

older phone it's a um

oneplus 6 phone

but it seems to work fine on this

so at the top right check it out guys we

have um

our controller

signal strength there it's fluctuating a

little bit between four and five bars

satellites are 19 i'm looking up at the

top right by the percentage

that the um v copter also has left on

its battery

and the controller is kind of

fluctuating a little bit in and out i'm

going to try to move this gimbal up

again

just see how smooth it is you can see

it's starting to get pixelated

so you know

a little bit of pixelation

i'll turn to the right just a bit more

um all i have in front of me is kind of

a couple of power lines going across

and um a couple of tree tops which

if i turn this way a little bit

i should be out of there

obstruction

but look at this guys up country kapalua

kula maui and look how green it's got

finally rain we got some rain

let's go ahead and slowly pitch this

camera all the way down oh this is real

time
