They REFUSE To Answer WHY!
FULLSTÄNDIGT TRANSKRIPT
I absolutely have to share this clip
with you because this man here has
absolutely nailed it with his question
in that politicians will refuse to
accept, admit, and speak out loud where
the real hatred is coming from. To put
this into context, this was BBC question
time and as you can see on screen, this
was the question, what can be done to
protect the Jewish community? First of
all, let's have a listen to what Rachel
Milwood, deputy leader of the Green
Party, actually said about this, and
then we'll hear the question, and we'll
hear the nonresponse and the flatout
refusal to actually deal with the
question. Listen to what she says. First
of all,
>> the rise in anti-semitism in this
country is real. It's undeniable. It's
horrific and it's abhorren, and we are
all, I'm sure, disgusted by it. Um and
the Green Party stands absolutely united
in wanting to create a society without
hate where we actually learn to live
together with our differences that we
learn.
>> So that's what she said there. And this
man asked a very simple, very
straightforward, pertinent question
which we must answer if we're actually
to get anywhere and deal with the hate
that we do see in this country, which we
do. and it is on the rise and we do need
to deal with it. This attack on these
Jewish men just recently has obviously
made that brought that to the forefront
and it is not an isolated incident and
we absolutely must do something about
it. But we need to address where it
comes from first and there is a
suggestion for it. Come back to that in
a minute. Let's listen to his question
first. You've probably heard it but we
need to discuss that here. Listen to
this
>> lady from the Green Party. You just
stated that uh you've seen racial hatred
in the country. Could you please specify
where that hatred is coming from?
>> Uh not quite sure what you mean. Do you
mean from the general public?
>> And let's pause there. So the moderator,
not quite sure what you mean there, but
it's quite obvious what he means. He's
asking where this comes from, but the
moderator obviously already realizes in
my opinion that it's a difficult
question to answer and won't want to
answer. And I don't know why. So he
states the question again, isn't
>> well, she said there's racial hatred in
the country and I'd just like to know
where she thinks it's coming from.
And then she looks across at the
moderator as if to say, "Help me out
here." Don't want to answer that
question. Watch.
>> I mean, I was talking about the fact
that there is a rise in um racially
motivated crime, that kind of thing.
There's more and more hate crimes.
There's more reports of people feeling
uncomfortable, unsafe.
>> So, she repeats what the problem is,
which is a problem. More and more people
feel unsafe. There is more and more hate
crime against various groups. This is
not an isolated thing, but there is an
origin of it.
And she knows what the question is. She
just won't answer the question and looks
at the moderator as if to say, "We need
to deflect somehow here." But again,
listen, listen to the response.
>> There's more.
>> You said there's racial hatred. Where do
you think it's coming from?
>> Okay.
What are you getting at exactly?
>> What are you getting at?
It's a simple question. If there's a
rise in these kind of hate crimes,
there's a rise in this level of hate,
all of this sort of stuff and it is
coming from somewhere and there are
groups, we'll talk about it in a minute,
but it is obviously being derived
somewhere,
but she wants to deflect. What are you
getting at? She says, so she puts it,
it's pure deflection, classic deflection
of someone who doesn't want to answer
the question. We get this all the time
in court. We go to court. When you
answer ask a question, they don't want
to answer. They very often say, "What
are you getting at? Why are you asking
me that?"
And the response obviously is, "As
council in court is, I'm not here to
answer your questions. You are required
to answer my questions. So, I'll restate
the question again. Where is it coming
from?" And you would restate the
question. So, this this guy here has
restated the question more than once
here. But again, it's been deflected
back to him. What are you getting at?
Listen on.
>> Well, where where does you think this
racial hatred is coming from?
>> So, he restates it again. Simple
question. Where is it coming from?
Because it's coming from somewhere.
>> What do you mean? What specific sector?
>> I can actually say that where I think
it's coming from actually is that we
live in ripoff Britain and people are
having a really, really tough time.
And that's where she goes with it. We're
living in ripoff Britain and that's the
reason. So, does she believe that people
in the Jewish community are being
targeted, are being attacked
because of so-called ripoff Britain,
because of the price of eggs, as
somebody put it on eggs? Because I don't
accept that. That's not an answer. That
is again pure deflection. But you'll
realize it it took a minute here. We're
a minute into this clip from asking the
question at the very beginning. A full
minute is is quite a long time to avoid
and deflect answering a simple question.
And she ultimately diverts to talking
about ripoff Britain as she puts it. But
she goes a little bit further. Let's
listen a little bit more and then let's
let's talk about it.
>> They're struggling because their bills
are going up. They're struggling because
they can't afford their rents. Um I I
actually think this is the reality.
Australia because food is now so
expensive it's eye watering. What that
means is that what that means
>> and you'll notice the way she's doing
this of I'm now in control. I'm taking
control of this conversation. Uh you
just stay there while I tell you uh
what's really going on here. That's the
sort of body language I can see here
>> is that there's then a tendency to find
someone to blame. And I think that there
have been narratives
>> and you can see the face not really
accepting the response here. Find
someone to blame. I don't think anyone,
let me know in the comments what you
think, but I don't think anyone is using
ripoff Britain to find someone to blame
and that is causing a rise in racial
hatred. I don't accept that.
uh Zia's party is definitely one of
these narratives like
>> and now she goes to reform to blame
reform. So enough of listening to what
it isn't because clearly avoiding
answering the question here. Now there's
been a lot of talk. Um, now I've I've
avoided you taking sides on this whole
Palestine debate because quite frankly
my position on these things is I'm
against anytime anywhere that people are
getting hurt. Uh, whoever's doing it and
whoever's fault it is, I'm against it. I
don't like it. I will always speak
against it. But there are bigger broader
political issues, international issues,
diplomatic issues that I am, you know,
literally not qualified to talk about in
that sense. I can have opinions, but
it's just like anyone else has an
opinion. And I think when we get to big
issues like that, everybody might have
an opinion and it's equally valid or
equally worthless as the next person's
opinion. And unless you are in those
environments, you you won't necessarily
