0:00

I feel like there's just a ridiculous

0:01

amount of AI tools out there right now.

0:02

And it's actually quite difficult to

0:04

work out which ones are worth your time

0:06

and money. For me especially, like I

0:08

value my own time. I don't want to be

0:09

messing around with all sorts of AI

0:10

tools and just finding out that they're

0:11

rubbish. But unfortunately, I have used

0:14

quite a few tools. And in this video, I

0:16

wanted to list some of the tools that

0:17

I'm actually using, some of the tools

0:19

that my team is using, some of the tools

0:20

that other people are using that are

0:21

actually useful and worth paying for.

0:24

Some of these aren't also fully AI, but

0:26

they do also sort of complement AI. Now,

0:28

of course, Claude is the big one. Claude

0:29

is the one that I've been covering a lot

0:31

on the channel. I feel like a lot of

0:32

people have been using because I think

0:33

Claude is very well designed for

0:35

productivity focused stuff. So, if

0:38

you're someone who needs to do research,

0:40

if you're someone who needs to work with

0:42

files on your computer, if you're

0:43

someone who wants to code, Claude, I

0:45

feel like they've done such a good job

0:47

of housing everything all in one,

0:48

especially when you look at their app.

0:50

So having the app and having the chat

0:52

functionality, the co-work

0:54

functionality, and the coding

0:56

functionality all in one place just

0:57

makes it super easy to use all of the

0:59

tools without having to constantly

1:01

change windows and sort of change

1:03

context or whatever. And I find myself

1:05

switching between all three very quickly

1:06

and easily because it's in one app. It

1:08

just makes my life a lot easier. Their

1:10

chat functionality is like any other

1:12

sort of chat AI tool which you can use

1:14

to do research, find answers, sort of

1:17

come up with strategies and stuff. I use

1:19

it a lot for just day-to-day things.

1:21

When I need to do some research or I

1:22

need to be educated on something or I'm

1:24

trying to find out about something, I

1:26

use Claw to do all that sort of stuff. I

1:28

of course change between the languages

1:30

quite often as well because you don't

1:31

want to be using their most powerful

1:32

model all the time. However, I do pay

1:35

for the max plan which is $200 a month,

1:37

which I think is worth it. Like I think

1:39

the sort of capabilities and stuff you

1:41

get with it are insane. Because of that,

1:42

I do actually tend to use OPUS more than

1:44

I probably should, but I've never hit

1:46

the limits, so I'm not really

1:48

complaining. Their co-work feature in

1:50

particular, I think, is super powerful

1:52

because co-work,

1:55

as the name suggests, it's kind of

1:57

imagine it like an AI agent doing work

1:59

for you in the background. And it can do

2:01

stuff on your computer. So, if you give

2:03

it access to a folder on your computer,

2:05

you can have it do stuff within that

2:07

folder. So, I've shown examples in the

2:09

past where if you have sort of financial

2:11

statements or something in a folder, you

2:13

need to get information from those

2:14

financial statements. You can do that

2:16

with co-work. You can also have it sort

2:18

of compare legal documents or whatever.

2:20

Have it compare information. And they

2:22

have a lot of other ideas here. So, you

2:24

can have it do all these different

2:25

things here. Organize my files. I think

2:27

that's a good one. So, let's just say

2:28

you have a folder which has a bunch of

2:31

different files like your downloads

2:32

folder and you wanted to organize all

2:34

those files for you can do that. You can

2:35

have it organize images, videos, or have

2:38

it do a specific thing. Maybe you're

2:39

looking for files with a specific file

2:42

name and to put them all in a folder.

2:43

You can have it do that sort of thing.

2:45

You can have it write stuff for you,

2:47

create a landing page, build a

2:49

dashboard. Those are actually very

2:50

similar to Claude code as well. You can

2:52

have it analyze Google Drive documents

2:54

because it doesn't just have to work on

2:56

your computer. If you have it connected

2:58

with the connectors functionality, and

3:00

they have a bunch of connectors here,

3:02

you can have it get information from

3:03

those places. So, it doesn't necessarily

3:06

just have to be on your computer. I

3:08

think this is another good example of

3:10

say you have information in a service

3:13

like Linear or Figma or whatever. It

3:15

could be Google Drive, but you want that

3:17

information on your computer. You want

3:19

it as a PDF, you want it as a CSV or

3:21

something like that. You can have it do

3:23

this for you without you having to do it

3:25

manually. And then they also have clawed

3:27

code which I've done a video on which I

3:29

would highly recommend just showing how

3:31

to use claw code in the app to make

3:33

stuff to make a website or whatever. The

3:35

app version is good. It's great. I think

3:37

it's great for doing sort of more basic

3:40

things um like building a website

3:41

building an app. Maybe if you're not

3:43

working on multiple projects at the same

3:44

time, even though you can have multiple

3:46

projects at the same time going, I think

3:48

if you're starting out, this is what I'd

3:50

recommend. If you're someone who's not

3:51

really a developer, who's not messed

3:53

around with code and stuff in the past,

3:54

but wants to build things, this is what

3:56

I'd recommend checking out and using.

3:57

OpenAI have their own version of Claude

4:00

Code, which they call Codeex, and

4:02

Codeex, I'd say, is just as good as

4:04

Claude Code. But it does depend because

4:06

some people say that one is better than

4:07

the other. I personally haven't seen too

4:10

much of a difference. What I end up

4:12

doing is if there's something I can't do

4:14

in Clawed Code or Claude Code is

4:15

struggling, then I switch to Codeex. And

4:17

then if Codeex is struggling, I switch

4:18

to Claw Code. So, I switch between the

4:20

two models. I am not tied to any of

4:23

these things. If a better model came out

4:24

tomorrow, if a better app came out

4:25

tomorrow, I would completely switch. I

4:27

don't care about any of these companies

4:28

or brands. I want to use whatever works

4:30

for me, whatever I think is best. Codeex

4:32

do have their own app as well, which I

4:35

really like. I actually think they've

4:36

done a really good job with this app

4:38

because you can use it for multi- sort

4:40

of agent coding. So, you can have a

4:42

bunch of different things going in here

4:43

and work on different projects all at

4:45

the same time. And I actually think the

4:46

app is really welld designed. Is it

4:48

better designed than clawed code? Um, I

4:51

think it depends on what you're looking

4:52

for. I think that's the great thing

4:54

about all of these apps and what they

4:55

can do. Um, it really depends on what

4:57

you're looking for. What I do like about

4:59

Codeex is that you can connect it to

5:00

your GitHub, you can connect it to an

5:02

IDE, you can see your lines of code,

5:04

what changes and stuff have been made.

5:06

Um, you have the normal chat box like

5:08

you would, and then you can see your

5:09

projects on the lefth hand side. And

5:10

again, you can work on multiple projects

5:12

at the same time. So when one agent is

5:14

working in the background on one

5:15

project, you can then work on another

5:17

project or another branch with codeex

5:19

and have multiple agents working at the

5:21

same time coding stuff in the

5:22

background. I do like the app. I think

5:24

they've done a really good job with it

5:25

and I think they've done a good job of

5:27

catching up to Clawed Code because when

5:28

Claude Code came out, it was super

5:30

popular. I feel like it blew up.

5:31

Everyone was raving on about it. So it's

5:33

good to see Chip now have Codeex, which

5:35

I think is just as good. The app that

5:37

I've been using though to code stuff and

5:39

to make stuff and to build stuff is an

5:41

app called Conductor. And what I really

5:44

like about Conductor is the way it

5:46

looks, the way it feels, and the way it

5:48

works. The sort of UX of this and the UI

5:51

design of this, I think, is awesome. On

5:52

the left, you have all of your projects

5:54

and repos. In the middle, you have your

5:56

chat box and stuff. And you can see your

5:57

branches at the top as well. And on the

5:59

right, you can see your files, you can

6:00

see the changes, and you can see your

6:01

terminal. Everything all in this one
