0:00

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is

0:01

Carmine Sabia for Explain America and

0:03

Vice President JD Vance just had some

0:05

really bad news to deliver to Governor

0:08

Tim Walls and he's not going to like it

0:10

one bit. So before we get started,

0:12

please make sure you like, comment,

0:14

share, and subscribe, guys. Those little

0:16

things really help us out and they help

0:18

our channel continue to grow. A lot of

0:20

people may not know this, but Vice

0:22

President JD Vance is in charge of the

0:25

fraud task force at the federal level.

0:28

And just this week, that fraud task

0:31

force descended on Minnesota and they

0:34

went to the quality learning center and

0:36

they went to a lot of daycarees that

0:39

people are saying don't exist that are

0:40

just stealing government money and they

0:43

don't really do any work. Well, shortly

0:46

after that happened, Governor Walls

0:48

tried to take credit for it and said it

0:50

was his departments along with the

0:51

federal government working together, but

0:54

Van said that's not the case. That Walls

0:56

had nothing to do with it. that they

0:57

received very little if any help from

1:00

state authorities outside of the law

1:02

enforcement agencies who did help. And

1:05

he said there's a lot of state officials

1:08

in Minnesota, including Walls, who they

1:10

believe turned a blind eye to this

1:12

fraud, and the investigation is now

1:14

going to heat up on them. I want you to

1:17

watch this and let me know what you

1:19

think in the comments.

1:20

>> Happening in red states more than here,

1:22

but so be it.

1:24

>> Should someone tell him? Well, I can

1:25

leave that to the vice president. Vice

1:27

President JD Vance, who's heading up the

1:29

crackdown. And here's more of my

1:30

exclusive interview with the vice

1:32

president.

1:33

As you know, Governor Tim Waltz of

1:35

Minnesota has claimed some credit for

1:38

the fraud crackdown in Minnesota. Is

1:40

there credit to be deserved for the

1:42

governor?

1:45

>> Uh, no, not at all. Will, this is like

1:47

the the arsonist trying to claim credit

1:49

for the work of the fire department

1:51

because Tim Waltz let this fraud happen

1:53

under his watch. uh whether he was

1:55

complicit in it directly himself or just

1:57

turned a blind eye towards it. Uh we we

1:59

really did not get much help at all from

2:02

the governor's office. Where we did

2:04

actually get some help was from some

2:05

state local uh law enforcement officers

2:07

who we assigned to the federal task

2:09

force because the state government

2:11

wasn't doing anything. So all credit

2:13

goes to people on the ground, the

2:14

federal officers, the state officers who

2:17

are working to uncover this fraud. The

2:19

the best part about this for me, Will,

2:20

is you you have when the president

2:23

empowered his entire government to go

2:25

after this fraud issue. You know, I had

2:27

this question to the Department of

2:28

Justice. You know, these investigations

2:29

take a long time. So, I was asking

2:32

myself, how quickly can we start getting

2:34

into some real investigatory work, court

2:36

issued warrants, actually going

2:38

doortodoor and finding out what's going

2:39

on? People told me it would take at

2:41

least 6 months. We've gone from Nick

2:44

Shirley's video about the Minneapolis

2:47

fraud schemes to active, you know,

2:50

judges issuing warrants for this

2:51

investigation in a matter of 3 months.

2:54

We've got 280 law enforcement officers

2:56

working on this problem. We really have

2:58

the most accelerated aggressive

3:00

anti-fraud operation that we've ever

3:03

seen from the federal government. And

3:04

again, it's because the president of

3:06

United States empowered his team to go

3:07

after this. That's what we're doing. And

3:09

this is just a very, very good next

3:11

step. This is far from done, Will, but

3:13

we're doing a lot of good work and we're

3:15

making a lot of progress.

3:16

>> Far from done. You mentioned complicity

3:18

and you analogized the governor to an

3:21

arsonist. Do you expect some type of

3:24

accountability beyond political some

3:26

type of accountability for Attorney

3:28

General Ellison or Governor Waltz?

3:33

>> Well, will we have to follow the law

3:35

where it leads? And what we know is that

3:37

there were multiple Minnesota

3:39

authorities who were turning a blind eye

3:40

to this fraud. Uh what we don't yet know

3:43

is whether they knew it was going on as

3:45

it was going on. But that's one of the

3:47

things that we're looking at with these

3:48

investigations. We're not going to, you

3:50

know, we're not going to let anybody who

3:52

committed a crime off the hook. And in

3:54

fact, if you're a senior officer, if

3:56

you're the attorney general or the

3:57

governor or any other elected official,

3:59

we're going to look extra hard at what

4:01

you knew and when you knew it and how

4:03

connected your actions were to this

4:05

fraud scheme. But it's part of the

4:06

reason why we're serving these warrants,

4:08

Will, is because of course people don't

4:09

come out and tell you, "Oh yeah, I knew

4:11

that the qual quality learing center was

4:14

committing fraud and people were getting

4:15

rich off of it and I did nothing."

4:17

People don't say that. So we've got to

4:19

do the investigatory work to understand

4:21

what was known, when it was known, and

4:23

by whom. That's a big part of the reason

4:26

why the fraud investigation, these

4:28

warrants that we saw being served all

4:30

across this the city of Minneapolis, why

4:32

that's such a big deal is because we're

4:34

finally starting to really get into the

4:36

nitty-gritty of what we knew of what

4:39

people were involved in this fraud

4:40

scheme. But but regardless of whether

4:42

there was criminal wrongdoing on behalf

4:44

of the governor, of course, like I said,

4:46

will we're going to let the law make

4:47

those determinations. We know that he

4:49

turned a blind eye towards this. You

4:51

have people will who came into this

4:53

country, many of them illegally, and 6

4:57

months later they're driving Mercedes

4:58

despite the fact that they don't have a

5:00

job. That doesn't happen without some

5:03

defrauding of the American taxpayer. The

5:05

fact that they turned a blind eye

5:07

towards it for so long as a scandal.

5:09

We're also going to find out whether it

5:10

was criminal.

5:11

>> Let's stay on the note of accountability

5:13

for one more second. You mentioned the

5:14

people that come into this country

5:16

sometimes illegally, sometimes
