Pocket Drone, Massive Potential/Flying Smarter with HOVERAir X1 ProMax

Well guys, I did it again. I rode the

bike here like 10 miles from the park

where I dropped off the truck just so I

could bring you guys a new video.

Something's in my pocket. What is this?

Oh yeah, there it is. You guys remember

the Hover X1 Pro Max? Yep, it's a beast.

One good thing about today is that uh

it's not 59°,

it's like 62. I didn't even have to wear

a jacket this morning. Guys, you got to

kind of forgive me because you're on the

GoPro right now that's on the handlebars

of the bicycle. So, you're kind of at an

odd angle, and this is why the bike is

Yeah. turned or the handlebars are

turned. But anyway, I want to introduce

you guys. I'm going to take a minute to

introduce you guys to Herby. This is our

new Hover Air X1 Pro Max, also known as

the world's first 8K drone that was

featured in Time magazine's best

inventions of 2025. Oh, yeah, it's true.

You need to look it up. Anyway, I'd like

to thank Hudoo Taco right here for

suggesting the name of Herby. Now, the

full name of this drone Whoa, there was

a almost a crash. The full name of this

drone is Herbert Hover Roberts. Yeah,

you guys get it, don't you? Pretty

clever, huh? Now, we also had a bunch of

you guys suggest names in the comments,

like Black Betty, uh, Black Beauty. My

favorite one was Little Kevin, Howie,

Grover, uh I don't know, there's

probably several more that I'm

forgetting. But I want to thank you guys

for taking the time to suggest names.

That's what I like on this channel is

you guys like to be involved or included

and you leave comments and I appreciate

that. But mostly, I appreciate you guys

being willing to overlook my obsession

[music] with naming stuff.

>> Jeez, we got a visitor. All right. Well,

let's move on to the purpose of what

today's video is about. We released a

video a while back introducing our Hover

Air X1 Pro Max uh Herby, and we pretty

much just demonstrated the um automated

features. We didn't really touch on

anything else. Well, if you haven't seen

that video, I'll go ahead and put a link

to it right here. But today, as

promised, we're going to review or we're

going to go over the beacon and joystick

kit that Hoverer was so kind or kind

enough to send along with this drone.

Well, I got this cycling bag with the

kit that they sent. And you're supposed

to be able to take this bag and attach

it to the bar of your bicycle. Now, I'm

apparently not smart enough to figure

out how to do that. So, I had to put

this inside my little satchel to bring

here today because the backpack was

pretty full. I mean, shoot, guys. It's

got that chair. That's not a chair.

Remember that? Yep. We're breaking the

rules again. All right, guys. Well,

here's the beacon I was telling you

about. This is just a smarter way to

fly. This is something that Hover Air

come out with that just makes flying

this flying camera just a lot more fun

whenever you're going or whenever you

want to fly in the manual mode. So, you

can use this in a bunch of different

ways. You can fly it, you can fly the

drone manually just using the beacon.

You can attach the joysticks to it. Now,

there's a bunch of videos that's already

posted about showing you got showing you

how to connect this to the drone and how

to connect the joysticks and all that

stuff. So, we're going to skip that for

today. I want to get to the meat of the

matter. I want to do some tests. And I

got to be honest, this isn't really the

easiest thing to use, but if Roberts can

figure it out, I'm sure you can, too.

Now, the way that you got to put

everything in here, this bag's really

tight, so it's meant to be compact. But

here's the joysticks. Actually, here's

the joysticks. These are the

controllers. But you take these sticks

that they got and simply push the

Whoops. You pick whichever stick you

want. You want a short stick or long

stick. I like the longer ones. You just

push them in there. And then now your

joysticks are all are all set. Now,

before we really get started with the

testing, I want to let you guys know

that this has remote ID. And that's a

great thing for somebody like me who

makes videos for YouTube because it's a

considered a commercial flight.

Therefore, you've got to be part 107

certified in the US and you've got to

register your drone. And the only way

that you can register your drone is to

provide the FAA with a remote ID number

that's assigned to the drone

specifically. So, it's pretty awesome

that they did that. Now, just so you

know, the X1 Pro and the X1 Pro Max are

the only ones with the remote ID. The

X1, the original one that we have,

Javier, he doesn't have it. So, in order

to fly him, I've got to put a beacon, an

a remote ID module on top of him, and

that really kind of weighs him down. So,

it's not really the best thing to do.

But Hoverer took care of that. Now I'm

going to demonstrate that with my phone.

I'm going to turn the drone on here.

It's at 99%. I just charged the

batteries up yesterday. Yeah, he's got

to do he's got to do his little I'm

getting ready for the party thing.

All right, [snorts] so he's ready. I

>> And uh I'm going to show you guys on the

cuz he's going to start recording. Yeah,

the bottom, I've got the the drone app

open. And at the very bottom here, it's

getting windy, guys. And I don't know if

this was a good day to pick. It was

supposed to be like no wind today, but

I'm going to slide this thing up here

and show you, but that is the

information. 00 Robotics. And there's

the number for this drone. So, it's

awesome that they implemented the remote

ID. I want to thank them for that. I

think they did it just for me. I'm going

to land him because he's getting a

little bit squirly.

How are we going to How are we going to

do this distance test if it's so windy?

All right, I'm going to turn him off so

I don't waste any more battery than I

have to.

I got to turn him back on. You guys

remember the other day when I was doing

his original video where I was

complaining about the voice. I don't

like the voice that's on here, but

apparently there's a way inside the app

that you can change the voice. Okay, so

I think we're connected. So, I'm going

to go to hover settings. Zoom all the

way. Go all the way down to the bottom.

Voice settings, guys. I didn't know that

this was in here. So, let's see here.

English volume control. We're going to

go up higher. We're going to go 75%.

Voice control before using a voice. I

don't want to do that.

I think there's a way or I thought there

was a way to change her voice. No,

cuz I've heard some people say

[laughter] I've heard some people say

that or I've heard some people's hovers

with different voices. Maybe I'm wrong

here. All right, scratch that. Hover.

Can you let me know how to do that? I

guess I kind of wanted to show you

something else. So, I'm going to turn

him back on or get him back up into

hover and I'm going to do what's what I

call a stability test. And he's he's

sitting right there in front of me. Let

me see if I can get over here into the

camera there. But I'm just going to push

him.
