There is a lot going on in the world

0:01

right now. But when it comes to what's

0:04

happening and what it means for you and

0:06

your money, one of the focuses of

0:09

legislators in the United States is

0:12

what's happening with what is called the

0:14

Clarity Act. This is the landmark

0:17

cryptocurrency infrastructure bill that

0:20

will determine the future of the

0:22

blockchain and cryptocurrency industry

0:24

in the United States.

0:27

But the Clarity Act has been stuck in

0:30

the Senate with no confirmed markup date

0:35

and unresolved fights over stable coin

0:37

yield, DeFi,

0:40

and token classification.

0:44

Now, the biggest near-term dispute that

0:47

is still ongoing is stable coin yield.

0:50

whether or not stable coins are going to

0:53

be able to provide yield on their stable

0:56

coins or in what way crypto platforms

0:58

can offer yield. But while this debate

1:02

continues on with the dates for when

1:05

people expect the Clarity Act to

1:07

actually be signed continuing to be

1:09

pushed back,

1:11

other countries are making moves. And

1:14

another piece of legislation is also

1:16

making its way to Congress that honestly

1:19

nobody's really talking about just yet.

1:21

In Japan

1:23

in April, we saw their cabinet approve a

1:26

bill classifying crypto as a financial

1:29

instrument. The bill will now proceed to

1:32

Japan's lawmaking body for debate and

1:35

final passage.

1:37

Now, if enacted, the changes would come

1:40

into effect as early as 2027.

1:44

One of the major things that they're

1:45

doing is just providing overall guidance

1:48

on the crypto industry as well as

1:51

treating crypto as property rather than

1:55

as currency. And on top of that, we have

1:58

Russian lawmakers also making a move to

2:03

fully regulate crypto. In the

2:05

legislation that they are pushing

2:06

forward, crypto is actually banned for

2:09

domestic payments. In Russia, you would

2:12

not be able to use crypto to buy things

2:15

as only the ruble is allowed to be used

2:19

in that manner.

2:21

But guess what?

2:24

Russia says in this particular

2:26

legislation that it is okay for crypto

2:29

to be used for international trade. And

2:32

this is a real strategic move here,

2:34

right? Let's dig into this a little bit.

2:37

Russia is basically saying, look, you

2:38

can't use crypto at home, but you can

2:41

use it around the globe. And this allows

2:45

Russia, for instance, to be able to use

2:46

crypto as a way to bypass sanctions and

2:50

the overall US-based financial system,

2:53

right at a time where that conversation

2:55

could never be more relevant,

2:57

considering the geopolitical tensions in

2:59

the Middle East and Iran's incentive to

3:02

move payments for oil away from the US

3:04

dollar. On that same topic, Pakistan's

3:06

central bank recently lifted its blanket

3:09

ban on crypto services, allowing banks

3:11

and financial institutions to serve

3:14

licensed crypto firms under a new

3:16

regulatory framework. This move follows

3:19

the 2026 virtual assets act and comes as

3:23

Pakistan, already one of the world's

3:25

largest retail crypto markets, pursues

3:28

plans for other things involving

3:30

blockchain and distributed ledger

3:32

technology, including uh tokenized state

3:35

assets and expanded Bitcoin mining and a

3:38

national stable coin. But something else

3:41

that's actually happening in the United

3:43

States that just came out this week and

3:46

that's barely making any headlines is

3:48

what's called the PACE Act. Two

3:51

representatives have unveiled the

3:53

bipartisan PACE Act to create a national

3:57

payments license for fintech and crypto

3:59

companies. And this bill would permit

4:01

these institutions to access Federal

4:04

Reserve payment services.

4:07

It also looks to reduce costs for

4:09

consumers who often end up having to pay

4:12

fees that get passed down layers of

4:15

different banks just to access the AC

4:18

system. Representative Sam Licardo said,

4:22

quote, "We can reduce the burden of bank

4:24

fees borne by too many American families

4:27

by enabling broader access to innovative

4:29

payment systems that deliver cheaper,

4:32

faster, more reliable service. I'm proud

4:34

to partner with Young Kim on this

4:37

bipartisan PACE act to modernize our

4:41

payment system for the benefit of

4:42

millions of cashstrapped Americans." End

4:45

quote. Eleanor Tourett, an incredible

4:48

journalist, has actually called out how

4:51

this is in alignment with Federal

4:53

Reserve Governor Christopher Waller's

4:56

skinny master accounts concept, which

4:59

Kraken gained access to earlier this

5:02

year. Essentially, Kraken was granted

5:06

access to the federal payment system in

5:08

a way that's slightly different from how

5:11

a traditional normally charted bank

5:13

would, but also in a way that crypto

5:16

companies have almost never had access

5:18

to before. For instance, Kraken is able

5:22

to use federal payments systems, but not

5:25

necessarily able to get interest on

5:27

their reserve balances.

5:29

And this helps to integrate crypto into

5:32

the financial system, but without having

5:34

to completely have the fully regulated

5:37

bank status. And on top of that, what

5:41

this is really about is the Fed saying,

5:43

"Look,

5:45

we are okay with testing this out and

5:47

seeing what happens when we let crypto

5:48

firms in the door, and Kraken is the

5:51

first one to get that done. But with

5:53

this new PACE act, there would actually

5:56

have to be a much smoother process for

5:58

much more of the crypto companies to

6:01

actually get access to uh the Federal

6:03

Reserve payment systems. Now, look, I'm

6:05

not a financial adviser and none of this

6:07

is financial advice. In fact, I highly

6:09

recommend that you do not take financial

6:10

advice from a random guy walking around

6:13

the park

6:17

talking to a stick.

6:19

Nearly 60% of the largest banks in the

6:23

US are either already offering Bitcoin

6:25

related services or expect to do so in

6:28

the near future. And that's according to

6:31

research from Bitcoin financial services

6:33

firm River. We had IBM announce the

6:35

launch of institutional Bitcoin and

6:38

crypto wallets coming up.

6:41

Legislators around the world are now

6:43

pushing this industry forward. And we

6:45

even had US Admiral Paparo say that the

6:49

United States is running a Bitcoin node.

6:51

>> We have a node on the Bitcoin network

6:54

right now. We're not mining Bitcoin.

6:56

We're using it to monitor and we're

6:58

going to we're doing a number of

6:59

operational tests to to secure and

7:02

protect networks using the Bitcoin

7:05

protocol. I want to be super hyper clear

7:08

here that you do not have to like this

7:11

technology or this asset class, but we

7:14

do have to be aware of what is actually

7:17

taking place in the world and what it is

7:20

that we can do about it. Look, if you're

7:22

still on the fence about whether or not

7:23

you want to get involved with the

7:25

digital asset industry or if you're

7:27

looking for places that you can know

7:29

that you can have a trusted partner when

7:30

you're buying and selling digital

7:32

assets, I highly, highly, highly

7:35

recommend that you check out Caleb and

7:37

Brown. I recently formed a partnership

7:39

with them. And the thing that makes

7:41

Caleb and Brown unique, the reason I

7:43

decided to partner with them is because

7:45

they have you actually speak to a

7:48

broker, right, when it comes to making

7:50

decisions about what you want to do with

7:52

your digital assets or even just to help

7:55

educate you on how this stuff works. So,

7:57

if you're looking for somewhere where

7:58

you can actually speak to someone, I

8:00

want you to click the link in the pinned

8:02

comments or in the description of this

8:03

video, register for a free account with

8:05

Caleb and Brown, go through the actual

8:08

email verification, do your KYC, upload

8:12

your documents so that they know who you

8:13

are, and then get in touch with a broker

8:16

over there. I also have my contact over

8:19

at Caleb and Brown, Jim Bazani, and you

8:22

can actually email him. I'm putting his

8:25

email also in the description of this

8:27

video so you can shoot him an email and

8:28

say, "Hey, Keith sent me. I want to

8:30

learn more about what you guys are
