Stephanie White ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL ALL OFF-SEASON! As Caitlin Clark RAVES About Sophie Cunningham
TRANSCRIPCIÓN COMPLETA
Welcome to the Beno podcast where we're
calling a spade a spade. Great to be
here with you guys today. Don't
overreact. It's just preeason. Don't
overreact. It's just game one. Don't
overreact. They haven't seen their
by-week yet.
And then before you know it, it's week
17 and your favorite football team is
out of the playoffs.
Don't overreact. The season just
started. Don't overreact.
wait until after the All-Star break and
then before you know it, they've played
82 games and your favorite team sitting
home during the playoffs.
Folks,
it's okay to overreact.
It's okay from pre-season game one off
the jump to say, "I don't really like
what I saw." It's okay.
In fact, I encourage it. Go ahead. You
didn't like what you saw yesterday? Let
me know in the comments section below.
You didn't like how Stephanie White
coached CC, let me know in the comment
section below
because before we know it, the regular
season's going to be here. We're going
to complain. And what are we going to
hear? OH, DON'T OVERREACT. THE SEASON
JUST STARTED.
And then before we know it, it's going
TO BE, "DON'T OVERREACT. IT'S ONLY GAME
20. THEY'RE SITTING AT 500."
And then before we know it, they played
44 games. We're still complaining about
the same thing. And the Indiana Fior are
facing the Aces, are facing the Liberty,
are facing the Mercury, are are facing
the the Dream, facing some team in the
playoffs. And then we say to ourselves,
well, well, good thing we didn't
overreact.
Go ahead and overreact. Stephanie White
using one of her infamous catchphrases.
We have to find a way to get Caitlyn
Clark easy shots.
Let's get right into it, shall we? Let
me know your thoughts in the comments
section below. Like the video, hype the
video, and subscribe to the channel.
That would mean so much to me. Robin
Lumbberg puts up a clip on Twitter.
Stephanie White assesses Caitlyn Clark's
play. Let's hear what Stephanie White
had to say. Let's hear what Stephanie
White has to say.
>> She was good. Uh, you know, I think we
played differently when she was on the
floor. And so, again, learning how to uh
to play with her in in in the action.
Um, I thought she was good. I thought
she didn't force anything. She she
played um with great intention in
everything that she did. Um was was in
the flow. She was communicating at a
high level. I mean, if if we're talking
about the the shot making, like that's
going to come. um they play her
differently in the W than they do in in
in international basketball. And so um
so we've just got to find ways to to
free her up to get her some easy looks.
>> Good.
>> Got to find a way to free her up and get
her some easy looks.
Folks, Kayla Carr is going to be going
into her 10th season. She's going to be
32 years old. And you know what we're
going to hear from the coach?
We got to find a way to get her easy
looks. We we got to find a way to get
her easy looks because Oh, we just we
just now realized that they play her
differently in the W than they do in
international. Oh, we just now realized
after her being in the league eight
years that they guard her 94 feet. Oh,
duh.
Yeah. Yeah. They play her differently.
Wait, so you haven't been trying to
figure out a way to get her easy look?
What have you been doing this entire off
seasonason? Oh, that's right. You've
been calling college games. Oh, that's
right. You were watching the tournament.
Oh, that's right. You were going on this
interview. Oh, that's right. You were
doing anything but putting your energy
into how do we get Kayla Clark's looks?
How do we get her open shots? Because
they guard her differently. We knew they
guarded her differently. Game one of her
rookie season in the preseason, we we
saw that they were going to guard her
differently against the Dallas Wings on
WA League Pass. We knew they were going
to guard her differently.
Game one against the Connecticut son.
Against your Connecticut son, Stephanie
White. Yeah, we knew they were going to
guard her. So, here we are heading into
year three and we just Oh, they guard
her differently. Oh, [ __ ] I forgot. I
was too busy worried about this, that,
and the third that I completely forgot
that I have a superstar on my team that
I need to focus on getting easy shots
and open looks. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah,
her play will be subpar as long as the
fraud remains. Coach,
how many times have we heard her say,
quote, "We have to find ways to get her
the ball. It's getting old." She doesn't
do well off ball, and seeing her setting
screens was sad to me.
She thinks they could go to the the the
the no true point guard [ __ ] they
are doing in the NBA which does not
work.
Steph White is responsible for the 94 ft
face guarding every possession. She
started all with Connecticut. Then other
teams started doing it. Now she wants to
take the easy way out and take the ball
out of her hands instead of instead of
using screens after screens after
screens after screens. Stephanie White
is not the coach for Caitlyn Clark in my
opinion. White is turning me into a Sky
fan. CC demand a trade. White is not the
coach for C. Oh boy, it's already
starting. Stephanie
Stephanie. Stephanie. Stephanie.
Now, here we go. Ready? Did Kaylin Clark
miss shots yesterday? Yes, she did. We
all watched it. She missed shots.
Were they easy shots that her teammates
helped her get open for, or was it shots
that she had to go oneon-one and create
space herself?
Shots she had to go oneonone and create
space for herself. So, Stephanie, I
don't know.
I'm not sure what you're doing. Not sure
what you're doing, but hey, you you're
the coach and I am just a lowly
observer.
Overreact. Please overreact in the
comment section below. Let me know your
thoughts because people say, "Don't
overreact. Don't overreact. Don't
overreact." And then before we know it,
the season's over and we're not where we
want to be.
Someone would just rather sit on their
hands for 20 games saying, "Oh, we're
going to just wait and see for 20 games
and then we'll start overreacting."
Well, by the time it's 20 games, well,
then it's too late. Then we're six games
back of uh home court advantage. Then
we're one game out of sixth place. Then
we're two games out of eighth play.
Don't sit on your hands. You want to
stomp and scream, by all means. This is
a safe space. Stomp and scream. Kayn
Clark. Love it herselves from Sophie
Cunningham. Oh, Sophie the trophy.
Folks, did y'all see this? Did y'all see
Sophie the trophy obliterate this woman
during this screen right here? Look at
this. Kaylin Clark bringing it up.
BOOM. FROM Sophie Cunningham putting her
on her ass. Putting her on her ass and
then out of nowhere, well not out of
nowhere, but Kayla Clark recognizes, oh,
she's on her butt. We got a threeon two
right here. Let's take advantage and get
a quick bucket. Look at this. Sophie
Cunningham. Boom. Putting her on the
ass. CC to Sophie. Sophie to Kelsey.
Kelsey step back. Pull up. Bang. Oh, I
love to see that. I love to see that.
But before the game, Kaylin Clark was
speaking on how much she loves and
