TRANSCRIPCIÓN COMPLETA
hello hello hello and welcome everybody
Welcome to week two of the 16 week
YouTube
course how are you if you don't know
already I'm Mrs Jay I'm the curriculum
developer here at AMCI and I want to say
hello and I also want to say hello to my
team in the chat you'll see the blue
badges those are our interns they're
easy to determine you're easy to they're
easy to see because they have a badge
however the AMCI instructors will they
have their images please say hello
instructors and interns please say hello
to the AMCI YouTube course self
studiers we are happy you are here and
we're going to get started with some
housekeeping
over the past week our Student Success
portal has answered a number of
questions and these are the most common
questions asked so they were important
so I felt that this is the best place to
answer them because you could likely
have these same questions number one do
I have to join the Discord number two
when will Discord become available three
how do I gain access to Discord four
what is the difference between the gold
silver and bronze memberships five will
I earn a certificate of completion six
how do I log into my course seven where
can I ask questions eight will the
course be available after the 16 weeks
and nine may I move ahead of the class
okay let's begin with the first
question do I need to become a member or
join the YouTube channel the answer is
no no you'll need it if you want to join
the Discord and we'll talk about the
advantages of the Discord but no you do
not need it also if you want to join
just click on join from the YouTube
channel and it's next to the subscrib
button or subscribe button all right
next
question when will Discord become
available it will become available today
officially after this
session number two how do I gain access
to the Discord we will show you at the
end of class and three what is the
difference between the gold silver and
bronze memberships what's the difference
well we're going to show you let's show
you now
now on site you can see that there are
more according to the tier all right so
all of them get 2025 YouTube course
extra help extra resources extra
practice exercises Etc they can
communicate with other students and they
can view private lectures silver they
get their questions answered by AMCI
co-lead instructors and they get CPC and
ccsp exam am preparation you're going to
need that after the 16 weeks gold gets
all of that plus
instructor's um notes 2025 Chun notes
that's gold also there will be Chun
class lectures well they'll get to apply
their Chun to practice and they get
their questions answered by AMCI lead
instructors so that is the difference
between the three
will I earn a certificate of
completion absolutely yes but you have
to have the MCG manual to do so because
in the MCG manual there are
tests and you'll be directed to take
these tests however at the end there is
a final exam link click on that exam
link and take your exam but that link is
closed right now and it will be open
after week 16 of this course now make
sure that you use the same email address
that you used to purchase your MCG
manual to get a certificate of
completion all right these certificates
of completion will be
personalized all
right how do I log into my course well
no you don't have a login no you're
self-studying but if you just want to
have a
location where to find everything you
can log on to the website
www.amc coding.com backyoutube course or
you can go to the Discord it's up to you
but my suggestion is to follow the
syllabus follow the syllabus
and you've got the
course all right where can I ask
questions all right that's a good
question number one the best place is in
the Discord because everyone can get or
benefit from the answer number two and
this is just as good post underneath the
YouTube video so if your question is
pertinent to the video post under that
video any other questions Discord is
best we cannot accommodate your
questions at AMCI there are just too
many of you so we're doing our best to
to answer the most common ones and
hopefully we're getting them and also
too on our website we have a chat bot
you can ask your question there as
well will the course be available after
the 16 weeks you better believe it it
will be available do not rush if you
fall behind and you know life gets in
the way and you're a little busy it's
okay the course will be
here may I move ahead of the class I
have an exam scheduled and I need to go
go go well unfortunately the answer is
no not really the assignments will
officially appear on your syllabus on
the day of class yeah I'm a little early
but sometimes I'll be a little early but
you can
look for them to appear on the day of
class the YouTube course follows a
structured weekly schedule and that
means students can't move ahead of the
class and this ensures that all of us
stay on track with the lessons the
discussions that's important and guided
practice and this structure allows us to
manage and address your questions in an
organized way so making sure that
everyone receives clear timely and
accurate responses that is what we're
striving for so this 16 week course is
guided after the 16 weeks you can do
what you
like now I do want to say you can do the
readings ahead of time because they are
put on your syllabus but any additional
resource will available be available the
day of class that week all right so week
two should officially be available
today and this isn't wasn't as common a
question but it was a question what are
the required texts I think need to
emphasize we recommend icd10 CM if
you're testing in 2025 we recommend 2025
manuals right we also recommend bucks
step by step if you can afford 2025 any
year between 2023 and 2025 is acceptable
also the MCG manual 2024 or 2025 is
acceptable also your TPT 2025 and your
hipic level two 2025 oh and a lot of
people have been asking about this opum
they say hey I've got the aapc can I use
it absolutely we just recommend opum if
your end game is the CCS if you're in
game when I'm saying end game that means
that you plan on taking a professional
coding certification first then pursuing
your CCS second that's your endgame
that's what we recommend because you'll
only need to purchase one book you don't
need to buy both all
right also so if you're just kind of
being economical and you're just you
know buying them as you need them you're
going to need your ICD 10cm your bucks
and your MCG manual for the first eight
weeks then for the actual exam if you
didn't know these three are required
your icd1 c m CPT and your hicp picks
level two we recommend the current year
manual if you are taking the ccsp by
aema ahema has strict requirements we'll
put those requirements in your um
resources so you can look at them but
when you get closer to the exam we'll
tell you what you
need now we've gotten all that out of
the way I do want to tell you that we do
have a
disclaimer yes if you are brand new to
medical coding this might not be for you
unless you have watched the beginning
lectures that or you've been in a course
already or we have a free itmc
introduction to medical coding course
you can take that but we're going to
