Mirror Finish Aluminum: Cross Cutting Polishing Made Easy
VOLLSTÄNDIGE ABSCHRIFT
Well guys, I'm not going to lie to you.
I messed up the audio in this real bad.
There was a fan literally right behind
the camera. So, I'm going to do a voice
over. So, if my voice doesn't match my
face right now, I apologize for that.
But, in this video, we're going to take
a look at cross cutting. I take the word
cross cutting for granted because I've
been polishing for 27 this year going on
28 years. And I get a lot of questions
from you guys asking about cross
cutting. What is cross cutting? So, I'm
going to show you guys in this video
exactly what it is. For those of you
that don't want to watch the entire
video, I'm going to explain it real
quick. But for those of you that want to
see the whole thing, stick around for
the entire video. I show you guys
exactly how I do it. But to break it
down, when you tip the buff to the right
and cut to the right, and then it pulls
the pores down and to the left. But when
I come back, I'm going to cut back to
the left. So when I cut back to the
left, I'm creating an X pattern. I'm
pulling the pores in two different
directions, aka cross cutting. So I hope
that helps break that down for you guys.
All I'm doing is stretching the pores in
both different directions when I go down
to the right and I come back to the
left. But that's two completely separate
passes. I hope you guys can see that if
you want to watch that in the video. And
for those of you that don't want to
watch all the way through and just stuck
around for the quick description in the
beginning, here you go. I hope you guys
enjoy this video. Stay tuned and enjoy
the background music. Let me know what
you think of this new background music
with Time to Shine stuff integrated into
it.
Yeah.

Time to shine.

>> All right. So, like I explained in the
beginning, what you're seeing here is
the buff tilted to the right. Keeping my
pressure on, but I'm pulling all of
those pores to the right hand side.
>> Pulling them down and to the left.
[music and singing]
Always on the grind.
Now, if you've watched some of my other
videos, I've explained this before, but
when you tip your buff to the side like
this, it really tightens up your pass.
[music]
So, you're if you're paying attention
really closely here, you're going to see
that I'm [music] keeping my passes
really super tight to keep that compound
laying down tight and not leaving zebra
stripes in it.

Now,
>> I'm still keeping my passes real nice
and tight. [music]
>> But since I'm laying on edge, I can
actually open that pattern up just a
little bit.
[singing and music]
>> But now you can really see that clarity
popping out. See, if you look on the
left hand side, you see it's a little
hazy.
But if you look where my buff's [music]
going. It's really getting clear.
>> Now, mind you, this is only the first
two cuts. Like I said, I cross cut,
>> went to the right, and now we're coming
